Compassionate Accompaniment CAT
Welcome to Compassionate Accompaniment. My name is Anna Katalin and I am passionate about sharing with you the powerful somatic healing practices of Compassionate Accompaniment. I am here to invite you within the Practice, Counseling and Coaching sessions to a safe place, to a heart to heart connection, where in an energetic and emotional holding, full of curiosity, joy and compassion, you can safely return to yourself, listening carefully to your own heart and body wisdom.

Through Compassionate Accompaniment CAT Sessions, I found a kind and deeply transformative way to access our difficult emotions, going through life challenges, from a perspective, where we understand how to transform them into treasures of guidance towards recovering our possibility of living our lives from a place of wholeness and genuine happiness.

In the sessions I am working with methods such as Compassionate Inquiry by Dr. Gábor Máté / Somatic Experiencing / Transpersonal Energy Healing / Somatic Movement Practices (Alexander, Klein Technic) / Movement-Dance and Art therapy / Therapeutic Marshall Arts Practices / Breath work / Ayurveda based Nutrition Counseling / Tantric Numerology / Trauma informed HATHA Yoga theraphy / Buddhistic philosophy and psychology / Meditation / Mindfulness practices / and in the individual, IN-Person sessions Intuitive Healing & Energising Massage therapy.

In my personal experience, working regularly with a healing practitioner is an essential part of an ongoing spiritual - emotional and personal development. I am fascinated by, and dedicated to the healing and transformational power of the body, honouring vulnerability, - as a key element in unlocking our true potential, through revealing and integrating our inner wisdom -, in a safe heart to heart connection.
Compassionate Accompaniment is a carefully developed, experience based, highly sensitive, trauma informed somatic healing approach, which places emphasis on healing and growing in safe and compassionate connection. The method is consciously respecting and honouring the timing and the specific needs and characteristics of each persons development.

Inspirations of Compassionate Accompaniment
Compassionate Accompaniment honours the teachings and practices introduced by the Buddhist Monk Thich Nath Hahn. Attuned to his teachings, Compassionate Accompaniment sessions are an invitation to ¨Go home to Ourselves¨ (Thich Nath Hahn), trusting the Healing & Transformational power of our bodies.

In the CAT sessions we practice mindfully the ¨Art of Compassion & The Art of Transformation - The Art of Sufering¨ by (Thich Nath Hahn), generating Understanding, Love and Compassion in our hearts, trusting and honouring the path of transformation, leading us to our essence, to the liberation of truth, restoring in our hearts and in our bodies, the inherent nature of wholeness-health and genuine happiness.

¨True love begins with the act of going home to ourselves and our body. We need to learn to handle our body with compassion, in the way we eat, in the way we breath, in the way we think, in the way we work. Keeping our compassion alive and releasing tension in our body brings us deep peace and wellbeing.¨
¨The Art of Transformation - The Art of Suffering¨
¨There is a relationship between suffering and compassion. Compassion is born from understanding. Understanding what? Suffering.
When you know how to suffer - experience and understand your pain -, you will suffer much less.¨
¨Going home to ourselves¨
¨Compassion should be directed to yourself first. Our civilisation has the tendency to want to run away from ourselves. From our pain. But we can go home to ourselves, without fear.¨

¨Interbeing - generating the energy of compassion¨
¨Interbeing is the ground of meta-ethics. As a community you can generate the energy of compassion. This power can help others much more quickly to heal.¨
¨Love is compassion in action. Compassion is a mind that removes the suffering which is present in us and in the other. The essence of love and compassion is understanding. The ability to recognise the physical, material and psychological suffering in ourselves, just as in the other, and get truly in contact with it, sense it and own it fully, understanding, and as such, compassion and love will be naturally born in us.¨

Compassionate Accompaniment CAT honours deeply the work developed by Dr. Gábor Máté, the Compassionate Inquiry CI method, which provides hand in hand with the work of Thich Nath Hahn & Zen Buddhism, a continuous resource and inspiration for further growth and development of the work of Compassionate Accompaniment CAT.
The Compassionate Inquiry method is especially impactful on inspiring and contributing to the research of Compassionate Accompaniment on the interrelated nature of how trauma is stored in our consciousness and in our bodies (showing up in form of any bodily illnesses) and how all body related (movement) practices, as well as specific diet can access and release not only the emotional pain, but also the physical manifestation of it (illness), which is/was caused by the mental-emotional load stored and stagnated in the body.

¨Trauma is not what happens to you; it is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you.¨
(Dr. Gábor Máté)

What Is Compassionate Inquiry®?
Dr. Gabor Maté developed the Compassionate Inquiry® psychotherapy approach, which reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world.

Using the Compassionate Inquiry system, both the individual and therapist unveil the level of consciousness, mental climate, hidden assumptions, implicit memories and body states that form the real message that words both express and conceal.

Through the therapist’s use of the Compassionate Inquiry approach, the client can recognize the unconscious dynamics that run their lives and how to liberate themselves from them.

“The purpose of the Compassionate Inquiry is to drill down to the core stories people tell themselves – to get them to see what story they are telling themselves unconsciously; what those beliefs are, where they came from; and guide them to the possibility of letting go of those stories, or letting go of the hold those stories have on them …
That’s what Compassionate Inquiry is.”
